In the campus provides various services to the incubated start ups and is a place to build your start ups.

Technology Business Incubator (TBI)

Helps early stage startups to develop their product from their idea stage to funding stage. TBI provides the best resources available with them to the startups in fields such as training, mentoring, investing opportunities, etc.

Pyrolysis Research Laboratory

Somaiya Vidyavihar University is actively involved in research related to pyrolysis, a process that decomposes materials at high temperatures in the absence of oxygen and the university conducts active research on biomass pyrolysis.

SmacLab (Social mobile Analytics Cloud)

Is a place to Design, Develop, Deploy and Test Software Applications in eluding Augmented and Virtual reality Application Developments.

Bioriidl

India's First DIY Biolab at riidl, a bio incubator backed by BIRAC, DBT and DST, Government of India & Msins, Government of Maharashtra. It is established to provide facilities to accelerate the research work of biotech entrepreneurs.

Shimadzu-Somaiya Vidyavihar Centre of Excellence (CoE)

In Analytical and Measurement Sciences, strives to become a preferred destination for training and research in analytical and measurement sciences and be a trusted partner in analytical services to academia and industry. It hosts several essential and advanced facilities including, Triple Quadrupole GC-MSXMS with dynamic headspace (Gas Chromatograph-Mass Spectrometer)- Model TQMS 8050NX, UV-Visible Spectrophotometer - Model UV 1900i, FTIR (Fourier Transform Infrared) Spectrophotometer - Model IR Spirit, Differential Thermal Gravimetric Analyzer DTG 60, GC (Gas Chromatograph) - Model Nexis GC 2030, DSC (Differential Scanning Calorimeter) Model DSC 60 Plus and DTG (Differential Thermogravimetric Analyzer)- Model DTG 60.

Centre for Excellence in Computational Science & Simulations (C2S2)

Provides Robust and scalable HPC environment: Linux-based (Aggregate power 5.05 Tflops) and several simulation packages including GAMESS, NWChem, PWSCF, Quantum Espresso, VMD, LAMMPS, ABMER, PyMOL which will be useful for fundamental and applied research. SciSER® students and Faculty members has access to all the Major equipments and Laboratories of the Somaiya Vidyavihar University. Our students are also spending their summer as interns in various laboratories of international repute. The following laboratories are coming up at SciSER®:

  • Zebra Fish facility for development Biology studies, Lead by Dr Tressa Jacob
  • Biomaterials laboratory for Translational Research, Lead by Dr Biji Balakrishnan
  • Soft Condensed and Living Matter Laboratory, Lead by Dr A V Radhakrishnan
  • Modelling Lab for Nonlinear Matter EM-Wave interaction, Lead by Dr Manoj Mishra
